Having earned degrees in interior design and art history, as well as minors in art and cultural management and museum studies from Northern Arizona University, Rachel currently works as an associate curator at Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West in Arizona. In her current position, Rachel researches, presents, and engages with art and artifacts representing the 19 Western states, Canada, and Mexico, and has had the opportunity to work on over 15 exhibitions. Outside of the Southwest, Rachel’s primary research interest are the foreign influences seen on American architecture, interior design, and the decorative arts throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, with specific focuses in the design movements of Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco. Rachel will complete her Master’s degree in the history of architecture, interior design, and the decorative arts in 2020.
