PETER JAY ZWEIG (PJZA) has a diversified practice as an architect, interior designer, educator, exhibition designer and author. He has maintained a practice in Texas for over 30 years in architecture, planning and industrial design. The award winning firm has won recognition for twenty-six national, three international, and 16 regional architectural awards. In addition PJZA has received eighty domestic and international patents for architectural and building system innovations. PJZA’s architectural services range from prototype designs, manufacturing fabrication, and architectural design feasibility through construction.
In addition to an architectural practice, he has been the Director of the Hospitality Innovation Lab at the University of Houston, and has taught at Harvard University, the University of Rome, Texas A&M University, and the University of Malaysia. He is an author, has initiated thirty nine academic and professional workshops, received fifteen grants and scholarships for his work on innovative materials and indigenous American architecture, received one of the highest recognitions in the profession as a Fellow of the American Institute of Architecture, was selected by the Gwangju Biennale in Korea to represent the US, exhibited at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale with U of H, lectured at forty-six universities and conferences and has exhibited in major museums throughout the United States of America.
