Peter Steane is Professor of Business Ethics as the Australian Catholic University. He is Emeritus Professor at Macquarie University, a visiting Professor at both Assumption University (Thailand) and Divine Word University (PNG). As a Catholic priest, he has worked in schools, welfare and formation programs.
Dr. Steane’s research covers: ethical policy development, sustainable leadership practices, strategic corporate planning, board governance and business-government partnerships. This research has resulted in over 180 academic and professional publications, competitive ARC grants and industry collaborative grants for business research. He is Australasian Editor for Public Management Review, Editor-in-Chief for Asia Pacific Journal of Business Administration, and Editorial Board for the Journal of Management for Global Sustainability.
Dr. Steane consults to a range of NGOs and corporations in Australasia on Ethics, leadership and strategy: the Asia Development Bank; Woolworths; Pfizer; Unisys; Merrill Lynch; Sun Microsystems; Mercy Health, as well as Wesley Mission and Baptist Community Services. He founded the Aboriginal Company Directors Program and was engaged in establishing the Certified Fraud Investigators Program.
