Peter Bishop is Associate Professor in the School of Communication at the University of South Australia and has been involved in numerous writing projects with visual and performing artists. He has researched, published and taught extensively around topics such as imagination, memory, hope, utopia, mobility, place, orientalism and reconciliation. He is the author of five books including one on John Constable and the creation of a landscape of nostalgia, another of the myth of Shangri-la and most recently one on bridges.
