  Dr. Peter Chukwuma Obutte is a Lecturer at the Department of Public and International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He teaches International Economic Law and International Environment & Development Law at the post – graduate program of the Faculty of Law in the University; as well as Jurisprudence and Legal Theory, and Public International Law at the undergraduate class of the Faculty. Dr. Obutte is also a Deputy Director at the Center for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law (CPEEL), University of Ibadan, a new Center of Excellence funded by the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, United States of America (U.S.A). He teaches Energy Law and Policy; Competition Law; Jurisprudence and Legal Theory at the LL. M (Energy Law); and the M. Sc (Energy Studies) degrees programme of CPEEL. Dr. Obutte’s expertise and research interest are: Economic Regulations; International Law of Development; Competition Law; Energy Law; Energy Internet; Intellectual Property Law; Public International Law; and Information and Communications Technology Law. Dr. Obutte holds the Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) degree of the University of Ibadan; Barrister at Law (B. L); Master of Laws (LL. M), Obafemi Awolowo University (formerly, University of Ife), Ife; Cert. Anti – Trust, Fordham University, USA; Sp. Master of Laws (Sp. LL. M) and the Dr. juris of the University of Oslo, Norway. Dr. P. C. Obutte was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1999.
