Dr Pendo Mwaiteleke holds a BSW (Curtin), Post-grad Dip Welf (Curtin); MA Public Policy (Murdoch), PhD (Murdoch). She undertakes policy consultancies and contract activities with government and NGOs. She has extensive experience in policy development and advocacy, and supporting stakeholders effectively engage and positively impact government policy processes. She has coordinated multiple policy submissions to Parliament and Government and provided policy evidence at Parliamentary Hearings. Previously she worked for 12 years as Lecturer in Social Work & Social Policy at Curtin University coordinating social policy units and honours Research. She also coordinated and developed the first WA State Government Domestic Violence Protocols for Public Hospitals; the program won a National Australian Crime and Violence Prevention Award. Pendo has also served in various government advisory groups and NGO Boards.
