Nick is a secondary school English teacher and administrator in Sydney Australia. Holding Masters degrees in Education (Macquarie University) and English Literature (University of Sydney), his research interests tend to express an interdisciplinary quality, primarily considering various applications of Critical Theory and their interplay between theoretical approaches to pedagogy and secondary school administration, particularly the process of change-management. Most recently his time has spent developing and implementing an ‘innovative’, ICT rich approach to the delivery of the Stage 4, New South Wales Board of Studies curriculum, seeking to better align declared, taught and learned functions of the teaching and learning process, through the utilization of Web 2.0 features to create transparency in this process, and through the more coherent application of Quality Teaching principles.
