  After obtaining PhD degree in chemistry from the University of Sussex, Uk I joined the Addis Ababa University. I am the founder of The Center for Food and Nutrition Sciences and served as Director of the Center for three years. I am also the founder of the Climate Science Center and the African Center for Disaster and Risk Management where I am still affiliated as a researcher. During my career in the University I have supervised several PhD and MSc candidates from both the Department of Chemistry and The Center for Food and Nutrition Sciences.
