Dr. Neelu Rohmetra is Professor in The Business School, University of Jammu, with over Nineteen years’ teaching and research experience in Management. She specializes in Human Resource Development, Organization Behaviour and Cross – Cultural Management and has recently been appointed as the Director, International Centre for Cross- Cultural Research and Human Resource Management under the aegis of Faculty of management Studies. Dr. Rohmetra is the winner of prestigious AICTE CAREER AWARD FOR YOUNG TEACHERS below 35 years of age for the year 1999.Recently she also received the AIMS (Association of Indian Management Schools) Best Teacher Award for the Year 2007. Prof. Rohmetra is the STATE ALUMNI, US STATE DEPARTMENT and has participated in ‘International Visitor leadership Programme of the US State Department, USA’ for the State of Jammu and Kashmir on “Educational Leadership” September 3 – 23, 2006 in which she visited various Business Schools, Universities and Business Centres in California, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and Washington D.C., USA. She has also been the Visiting Fellow to The Centre for Cross- Cultural Management Research, EAP-European School of Management, Oxford, UK, in 1998. During her visit she taught “International HRM” with special reference to India. The Commonwealth Commission in UK also selected her in 2001 under the Post-Doctoral Research Programme, as Senior Fellow at Department of Management Learning, Lancaster University, UK, in the area of “Training and Development. She is also the winner of Fulbright Visiting Lecturer Fellowship for the year 2001-02. Prof. Rohmetra has published about 40 research papers in journals of national and international repute. She has also had the privilege of presenting her research papers at various international conferences including those organized by Lingnan College, Hongkong, 1995, Nanayang Technical University, Singapore, 1996, Napier University, Scotland, 2002, Lancaster University, UK, 2002 and Tilberg University, Netherlands, 2006.
