Dr. Nathan Cardon is a Senior Lecturer in U.S. History at the University of Birmingham, UK. He holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Toronto (2014). His first book, A Dream of the Future: Race, Empire, and Modernity at the Atlanta and Nashville World's Fairs, was published by Oxford University Press in 2018. He has also published in the Journal of Southern History (2014) and Louisiana History (2017). His current project is The World Awheel: Americans in the Global Bicycle Age, 1885-1929. Research from the latest project has been presented at the Organization of American Historians (2018), International Cycling History Conference (2017), the Social History Society (2017), and the British American Nineteenth Century Historians Association (2016).
