She is specializing in the study of comics and graphic novels, and working with Phillip Thurtle, Raimonda Modiano, and James Tweedie. She is also pursuing doctoral certification in the field of Textual Studies as a complement to her Ph.D. She graduated from Princeton University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature.
