  Professor Naren Chitty is Foundation Chair in International Communication and Head of the Department of International Communication at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia (www.mucic.mq.edu.au). He is also Deputy Dean of the Division of Society, Culture, Media and Philosophy at Macquarie University. His Ph.D. in International Relations is from the School of International Service, American University, Washington D.C. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Communication (jic.tbi.com.au) and an editor of the Global Media Journal‘s U.S., Mediterranean and Chinese issues.
