Li Mengyu, Ph.D, a professor of College of Liberal Arts, Journalism and Communication, Ocean University of China, has been a visiting scholar in the faculty of English at the University of Cambridge, in the Institute for Intercultural Communication at the University of Louisville and the Center for Faulkner Studies at Southeast Missouri State Univeristy. She has been invited to attend many international conferences in US, UK, Japan and Singapore etc. and act as the section chair and discussant. She has also been selected as the paper reviewer of the International Journal Intercultural Communication Studies. Her academic interests include comparative literature and Intercultural communication. She is the author or coauthor of five books, and they are The Comparative Study of Shen Congwen and Faulkner's Novels in Multidimensional Perspectives, Interculral Communication, Chinese Communicating Interculturally (Coauthoring with professor Michael H. Prosser, first published in Higher Education Press in 2012 in China and then published in Dignity Press in 2014 in US) etc. She has published more than forty academic papers in Chinese authoritative and core journals such as "Literary Review", "Chinese Comparative Literature", "Foreign Literature Studies" as well as the intercational "Intercultural Communication Studies" and "China Media Research" (published simultaneously in mainland China and the United States). She has also undertaken many research projects, including a National-sponsored Social Sciences Funding Program "On William Faulkner's influences on the Chiese New Period Novels" ( a project approved by Chiese National Social Science research), "The Intercultural Communication Study on the Chiese and Western Cultures" (a key project approved by the Department of Culture of Shandong Province in 2009). She has been awarded nine prizes, including the First Prize Winner of the Qingdao Social Science Research Award and the Second Prize Winner of Shandong Social Science Research Award etc.
