  Michelle Pannor Silver is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Health and Soceity at the University of Toronto, with a cross appointment in teh Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Her research in gerontology examines retirement; perceptions about aging; and health information seeking behaviors. She received a PhD from the University of Chicaog and a BA, BS, and MPP form the University of California Berkeley.
