Dr Park holds a PhD in Sociology from London School of Economics and Political Science. She is currently working as an Assistant professor in the department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at Dalhousie University in Canada. Her research and teaching interests lie in the areas of international political economy, free trade, East Asia, nationalism, localism, social movements, and political ecology. Her current SSHRC funded research project examines competing visions of a just society among activists and scholars involved in the anti-neoliberal globalization movements around the world. She is the author of Democracy and Social Change: A History of South Korean Student Movements (2008,Peter Lang and her articles appear in journals such as Critical Sociology, Globalizations and Korea Journal.
