  Md. Jahan Boksh Moral is an Assistant Professor into the Department of Geography & Environmental Studies, University of Rajshahi. Currently he is doing his PhD research into the field of poverty mapping under the close guidance of Prof. Ruslan Rainis into the School of Humanities, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He obtained his M.Sc(Urban Environmental Management) and M.Phil. Degrees respectively from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand and Institute of Bangladesh Studies (IBS), Bangladesh. Throughout his study time, he obtained many scholarships such as Rajshahi University Scholarships, Dutch Scholarship as well as currently receiving Universiti Sains Malaysia Fellowship (USM Fellowship). He also obtained two times Rajshahi University Awards due to first class first place both in B.Sc(Hons.) and M.Sc. He is reviewer of International Journal ‘Natural Hazards’ (Springer) and moreover reviewed the book entitled on ‘Aerial Photo Interpretation and Photo-grammetry’ by Dr. Raquib Ahmed (Bengali Version). He has participated into many international conferences and presenting papers there.
