Melani Buchanan Farmer, from the Southwest of the United States. She studeid Education in Curriculum & Instruction and Multicultural Education at the University of New Mexico, USA. Melani completed her Ph.D. at Califorina Institute of Integral Studies, graduating with a degree in Transformative Studies, with an emphasis in Adolescent Wellness. She proceeded to work in a k-12 setting for 13 years, followed by supporting bilingual and second language learning classroom teachers. Melani's connection to wellness, as integrated into education, led her to the Director position for Employee Wellness at the largest school district in New Mexico, bringing wellness tips, strategies, and community collaborations to all stakeholders in the educational realm. Currently she is a professor in the Department of Teacher Education, at New Mexico Highlands University and is the Director for Running 505, a youth wellness program of kids who are ages 10-13. @Running505 @MelbFarmer
