...MoreMarilyn completed her nurse education in Broken Hill in 1970 and has extensive experience in nursing and health services management in both remote rural and tertiary referral hospitals, before joining the University of Sydney in 2002 as a lecturer in health services management. Her clinical background includes all areas critical care. She holds qualifications in nursing, midwifery, psychology, education and health services management. Marilyn's PhD was completed in 2010 and explored the impact of the NSW health care reforms on the lived experiences of senior nurse managers. Since leaving the University of Sydney in 2009, Marilyn is now a consultant in the areas of health services management and clinical governance.
