  While employed as a correctional mental health professional for the Nevada Department of Corrections, Mary Harrison developed and implemented a Structured Living Program for older adult prison inmates. This Program was developed in response to the need to provide for the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of the rapidly increasing number of geriatric prisoners. The noticeable improvement of these parameters among the men involved in the Program, compared to men in the general prison population, prompted the current research. Mary continues to be involved in geropsychology, prison programs, and enhancement of cognitive abilities in older adults. Less
