  I am currently a PhD candidate in Psychology at the University of Evora in Portugal with focus on Social Representation Theory with an eventual goal of helping to identify strategies to promote preventative strategies involving elderly violence considering “what” people know and “how” it relates to the social groups especially as a component of healthy aging. I also work as a research assistant at the University of Connecticut Health Center studying an evidenced-based behavioral intervention that uses positive reinforcement to promote behavior change.
