Lorayne Excell's deep interest in education in the preschool phase has led to her involvement with a number of aspects of ECD training across the formal and informal sectors. She has a particular interest in networking with urban and rural ECD communities and establishing partnerships that will enrich both pre and inservice educators and children. As a lecturer in ECD, she is involved in a number of curriculum initiatives at the Wits School of Education, a number of which are directly related to democracy-in-action.
