Leonard Sproule began his career in education as a high school Biology teacher. Leonard’s passion for educational research originated from his work with students with Severe Learning Disabilities. Building upon his experiences as a Special Education Coordinator at the school level, Leonard lead a division-wide school improvement initiative as a district administrator. In 2010, Leonard earned his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Lethbridge. During his tenure as the principal of a rural k-12 school, Leonard implemented a high school completion initiative focusing on the advancement of Career and Technology Studies programming and pedagogical practices. In his current role as an instructor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge, Leonard specializes his instruction of introductory and advanced curriculum and instruction courses in the field of Career and Technology Education. Most recently, Leonard has enrolled in the PhD program offered by the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge. Leonard’s research interests focus on expanding upon the action- and behavior-oriented conceptualizations of traditional educational leadership theories and associated research methodologies.
