  Dr Lizette de Jager holds an MA in Linguistics and a PhD in Curriculum and Instructional Design and Development. She is a Fulbright scholar (English) and a Teaching Advancement at Universities (TAU) Fellow. She teaches English literature and language and English methodology in the Department of Humanities Education, Faculty of Education, University of Pretoria, South Africa. Her research interests and publications are in the field of English education, applied linguistics, pragmatics, instructional design and pedagogy. Lizette is a keen supporter of technology integration and was involved in a joint research project on technology integration in rural schools with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). She currently leads an interdisciplinary research project on sourcing and evaluating Apps for language teaching.
