Post-doctoral training included work as an Exchange Scientist with Professor Alexander Luria, MD in the USSR, Bourdenko Institute of Neurosurgery, Dept. of Neuropsychology that serves as foundational research for this paper. An additional year of post-doctoral training followed at the UCLA School of Medicine, Dept. of Psychiatry, in Pediatric/Child Neuropsychology and Assessment of Brain Dsyfunction with Professors Donald B. Lindsley, Ph.D. and Peter Tanquay, M.D. Interests include: pediatric/child neuropsychology of healthy brain development; multi-sociocultural factors affecting early childhood learning and impact on education; development of memory and language literacies; assessment of learning and learning disabilities in young children; and childhood mental health and early childhood trauma effects. Research focus areas include: brain development in healthy children (birth through adolescence); sociocultural factors affecting early childhood learning and impact on education; childhood mental health and trauma effects on early development and learning; and development of memory and language literacies (birth to 10 years).
