  Kirsi Manninen, MA, is a costume designer, teacher of digital character creation and a doctoral candidate at the Department of Film, Television and Scenography, Aalto University. The topic of the research is Creating a Character - Thinking and Communicating through Analogue and Digital Costume Sketching, She is one of the pioneers of teaching digital costume sketching in Finland and abroad. Her career as costume designer includes more than over one hundred productions on television, theatre, and film as well circus and dance.
