Kim Alexander is a Social Scientist with CSIRO, completing a Ph.D. in Environmental Science in 2007 that focused on the social aspects of agricultural change in Lao PDR. Subsequent research interests and experiences include; participatory research in rural and urban communities using mixed methodological approaches, behavioural modelling, multicriteria analysis and indicator methodologies. She has had experience in water related research including; community perceptions of public health risks from recycled water; urban water demand management; urban, rural and global water availability; and community perceptions of on-site wastewater systems. She has contributed to several projects international projects on vulnerability, conservation and watershed appraisals. Currently, she is involved in projects such as coastal adaptation, water governance issues in Northern Australia, sustainable communities in Victoria and the social aspects of the introduction of managed aquifer recharge water reuse schemes in South Australia http://www.csiro.au/people/Kim.Alexander
