Her major is mathematics education and her research interests and publications are on teacher beliefs, ethnomathematics, mixing research paradigms, language and mathematics teaching, technology, gender, equity and equality, HIV/AIDS. She coordinates the mathematics section in the department and teaches both graduate and undergraduate students.
