Kathleen Miller has earned the Master of Arts in Museum Studies from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport, Iowa graduating in December 2010. She also graduated with the WIU Bachelor of Arts in 2009 focusing in Business Management and Marketing. As a life-long learner, she is currently working on graduate studies for Instructional Design Technology certification at WIU and is researching IDT applications for museum education. Kathleen is the recipient of the Spring 2010 WIU Student Government Association Academic Scholarship and was recently inducted into the Phi Beta Delta International Honor Society for her contributions to international education. She is also is a member of honor societies Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Lambda, and WIU Golden Key International Honour Society where she serves as vice president. She presented visitor studies research at the ICOM Third Annual Conference on the Inclusive Museum in Istanbul, Turkey 2010. Kathleen worked as a Realtor® for eight years during which time she developed a specific understanding of business marketing to consumer needs and is currently looking for career opportunities to continue her business and research interests in the museum field.
