Jungah Kim received her B.A. and M.A. in English Literature from Myongji University in Seoul, Korea and her M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Teaching of Literature from Columbia University. Her dissertation, Mirror, Memory, Mother: The Absent Madness in Writing Schizophrenia, examines the inseparable relationship between madness and reason in the history of Western metaphysics. Before coming to BMCC, she was a postdoctoral visiting research fellow at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where her research covers a range of areas including human rights, bioethics, and transdisciplinary studies.
