...MoreHe began his professional career as a primary school teacher, and he later was a principal of a primary school. He earned his undergraduate and Ph.D. degrees from the Faculty of Philosophy and Education at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). He was a teacher in the field of Vocational and Professional Guidance. He has also given courses and trained Secondary School Counselors in collaboration with Berritzeguneak –Support Centres for Training and Educational Innovation-. He was the coordinator of a working group in the area of Guidance and Counselling that designed the Basque Curriculum for primary and secondary obligatory education. He is currently a professor in the Department of Didactics and School Organization at the Teacher´s School of the University of the Basque Country, campus of Gipuzkoa.
