I am a Lecturer in the School of Natural and Built Environments at the University of South Australia (UniSA). Before joining UniSA in 2016, I worked as a postdoctoral teaching fellow at the University of Alberta, Canada. I earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Construction Engineering and Management, and the Certificate of Graduate Studies in Complex Systems from the University of Michigan, US, in 2014, and an M.S. in Architectural Engineering and a B.S. in Civil, Urban, and Geosystem Engineering from Seoul National University, Korea, in 2010 and 2008, respectively. I have conducted research projects funded by US National Science Foundation (US NSF), Construction Industry Institute (CII), and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Currently, my broad research interest is in human-centred approach to the design and management of built environments and in human-centred approach to construction safety.
