I was born in the United States, in the state of Illinois, and in the city of Chicago. I am a Practicing artist/Edutainer, Educator, Educational Researcher, and Author currently living in Chicago. I have taught and lectured in several colleges and universities across the United States, Canada, and Africa. Much of my research and writing investigates community mural painting, public art, the role of art in adult learning,and the psychology of adult learning. As an Edutainer, I use art to perform,by producing mural sized drawings in time to the reading of fables and folktales. I use art and storytelling, not only to entertain but to assist in the moral development of children and young people. I am a graduate of Cornell Univerity (MFA), Northern Illinois University (ED.D), the University of the Rockies (M.A), and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA). I currently teach in the Adult Education and Humanities departments of the City Colleges of Chicago. I also serve as Chairman of the Black Chicago History Forum, at the Dusable Museum of African-American History.
