Dr. John G. Vafeas, DSW, LSW Dr. Vafeas, Professor of Social Work is the Chair of the Department of Social Work and Director of the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Kutztown University. Dr. Vafeas has over ten years of practice experience in the field of disabilities, and over twenty-five years of teaching in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral education. His teaching expertise includes social welfare policy and practice, information technology, methods of program evaluation and research methodology. Dr. Vafeas has served as a consultant for program evaluation to a number of agencies and is currently involved in conducting research on the effects of accreditation on social service agencies. Currently, he is the PI for a state-wide research project on services offered to domestic violence survivors in Pennsylvania.
