Dr. Jenny Wells is an associate professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has served as a member of the national panel of expert reviewers for the Evidence-Based Practices Update Workgroup, National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Wells teaches graduate courses on Special Education Law and Compliance, Introduction to Applied Research, Adaptations and Special Procedures for Severe Disabilities/Autism, Introduction to Severe Disabilities and Autism, Principles of Behavior, and Advanced Language and Literacy. Her areas of expertise include (a) evidence-based practices for students with severe disabilities/autism, (b) applied behavior analysis, (c) special education teacher preparation, (d) special education law and compliance, (e) online distance learning, and (f) reading.
