Dr. Jeffrey Soleau’s professional interests focus on the intersection of religious studies, philosophy, and psychology. He is interested in the power of ideas to transform and enrich the lives of individuals and communities. Prof. Soleau has designed and taught numerous interdisciplinary humanities courses for undergraduate students. Consistent with his research interests, Dr. Soleau employs a Socratic-dialogic pedagogy in the classroom. He seeks to engage students in the process of exploring and questioning issues of fundamental meaning and purpose. Dr. Soleau is the Edith Craig Reynolds Professor of Philosophy and Religion at The Sage Colleges. His academic background is:
