Dr. Janosch Schobin leads the junior research team DeCarbFriends funded by the German Ministery of Education and Research (BMBF) at the University of Kassel. His current work focusses on leveraging peer-effects by digital games to promote green behaviors. His general interests are in the fields of friendship sociology, sociology of games and social network analysis. He received his doctoral degree in 2011 from Kassel University for a dissertation on caring practices among friends. Among other institutions he has taught at the Catholic University of Chile and the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany.
