I am a senior Lecturer at the Dept. of Philosophy at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. My Ph.D is from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I have published various essays in various fields of philosophy, particularly Analytic Philosophy, the Philosophy of Language, and Ethics and Public Policy. In the philosophy of language my interest is focused on the works of Wittgenstein, Quine, Davidson and Rorty, and in particular, on the prospects of finding a path between the Scylla of metaphysical realism and the Charybdis of relativism and contemporary forms of post-structuralism, post-modernism, and the like. In ethics and public policy my work has focussed on issues of university Governance and academic freedom. I have held various administrative roles in the university, including the chairmanship of the Philosophy Department. Recently, I have authored the University's Code of Academic Ethics, subsequently approved by the University's senate, and presently binding throughout the institution.
