The Conditional Cash Transfer Programme in Nigeria

I'm currently involved with the National Social Investment Programme as an Assistant Project Accountant in the Nigerian Conditional Cash Transfer programme that mainly aims to increase nutrition, reduce poverty, enhance capacity and promote financial inclusion of beneficiaries.

Being that the programme has multiple sources of funding that include the Nigerian treasury, the World Bank credit and the Abacha fund restituted by the Swiss government; it is pertinent that the processes of running the programme are well observed and value for money is ensured in expending funds.

The programme has the potential to help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal of No Poverty in Nigeria; which can arguably cut to a low point the lack of access to education, health care, good living condition and social discrimination.
