Dr.Teng Hongqing is Professor of Law & Assistant Dean of College of Law, South China University of Technology in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province P.R.China. He is the Deputy Director of Assessment & Research Center for Rule of Law, the legalization expert certified by Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress and the legal counsel authorized by Guangzhou City Government.
He earned Ph.D in Wuhan University in 2006 and LL.M in Washington College of Law, American University, U.S.A. in 2008. He was Visiting Professor in National Law University, Delhi, India in 2009 and Guest Researcher in Norwegian Centre for Human Rights, Norway in 2014 and Visiting Professor in Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2015.
His major is Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. Now his research field & course taught is Human Rights Law.
He has published one monograph which title is “National Emergency Power and Human rights in Crisis” in 2008 and chief-edited two books and co-authored twenty books so far. He also published 60 articles in English and Chinese by main legal journals.
He has undertaken ten National or Provincial Fund projects and one international project sponsored by USAID. He actively participated in academic and practical events in China and other countries. He also was invited to be panelist or key speaker in several international conferences held in Washington D.C., Sacramento, New Delhi, Oslo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Macau and Kaohsiung etc.
