  She danced with the Doris Humphrey Repertory Company, the Martha Graham Ensemble, the Pearl Lang Dance Theatre, and the Bella Lewitzky Dance Company. In 1999, she created Heather Harrington Dance Company in NYC, performing nationally and internationally. She choreographed, skated and taught with the Ice Theatre of New York, a skating company in NYC that is devoted to melding dance and ice skating. Her scholarship has been published in the Journal of Dance Education, Nordic Journal of Dance, and Dancer Citizen.
