Bahadur Goonesh Kumar holds an undergraduate degree in Fashion from University of Central Lancashire, UK and a Master degree from University of Mauritius in Computer Mediated Communication Pedagogies (CMCP). He has been working with the Department of Textile Technology at the University of Mauritius since 2001 and has been involved in teaching students, enrolled on the BSc (Hons) Textile and Fashion Design and BSc (Hons) Fashion Technology Programmes. He is currently doing his MPhil/ PhD studies on a part time basis at the University of Mauritius.
In 2010, Mr Bahadur moved to another department, Virtual Centre for Innovative Learning Technologies (VCILT) within the University of Mauritius where he is now teachiong on programmes like, Diploma/ BSc (Hons) in Web and Multimedia Development, BSc (Hons) Educational and Instructional Technologies and on the MSc Educational Technologies. All modules are delivered online and most students are mainly part timers.
Mr Bahadur is a member of different committee both at university and national level.
He has also participated in numerous conferences worldwide where he has presented papers related to textiles, fashion and e-learning. He is presently the secretary of the University of Mauritius Academic Staff Union (UMASU).
