Gary J. Confessore holds the B.S. in Science Education from Norwich University, the M.S. in Psychological and Philosophical Foundations of Education from Troy University, and the M.A. in Higher Education and the Ed.D. in Curriculum and Teaching from Columbia University. He has served as Dean of Administration at John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York (CUNY), and as Director of Institutional Research and Director of the Higher Education Planning System at Hunter College, CUNY. He served as Vice President of the College and Dean of Faculty at Johnson State College of the Vermont State College System, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College at Bloomfield College, Provost and Dean Faculty at Lindsey Wilson College, Associate Director of the Oklahoma Research Center for Higher and Adult Education at the University of Oklahoma, and as Director of the Higher Education Administration Doctoral Cohort Program at George Washington University. Dr. Confessore is a recipient of The Society for the Study of Self-Directed Learning's Malcolm S. Knowles Memorial Self-Directed Learning Award. He is currently Professor Emeritus at The George Washington University.
