Emily Loughlin is a Ph.D. Student at the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology and the Centre for Disability Law and Policy at the Institute for Lifecourse and Society at NUI, Galway. Her research explores the intersectionality of ageing and disability within the particular context of community living. Her background is in law, with an LLM in International and Comparative Disability Law and Policy and having worked as a solicitor in private practice for a number of years prior to commencing her doctoral research.
