I attended the University of Nigeria Nsukka up 2001 for all my degrees in Vocational Agricultural Education. My Doctoral research was on programme impacts evaluation on cassava development in Southern Nigeria. The research exposed me to the inherrent attributes of cassava as a poverty alleviation crop among the poorest of the poor. As a follow up to this, I also attended a postgraduate short course on Poverty and Inequality at Maastricht University, The Netherlands. The course exposed me to the qualitative and quantitative issues of multi dimensional poverty and inequality and also, the relationship to other social problems, trends and policy issues in government. I have been involved in retraining exercises for Senior Agricultural Extension and Community Development officers as well as agriculture teachers in Nigeria. From 2010 to 2011, i was a Visiting Academic to Aberystwyth University, Aberystwyth Wales in the UK where i researched into Farm Business surveys. At Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Nigeria, i have held several positions of responsibility as Head of Dept, Deputy Director of Centre for Vocational and Entrepreneurial Studies, Director, Centre for Human Rights and Gender Education of the University and a statutory member of the University Senate up to 2018. As the Director then, we focussed on providing our trainees and clients with practical understanding of all issues relating to Human rights, environment, health and safety, poverty issues, democracy and good governance, women empowerment and skills acquisition etc. The training and public enlightenment programmes we organised within the university and neighbouring farming communities were well woven around human rights, gender equity and sustainable livelihoods.
