Edgar Iván Sánchez Bernal. Agroecosystems specialist agricultural engineer by the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Master of Science with a major in Hydrosciences by the Postgraduate College. PH. D. in Hydrosciences by the Postgraduate College. Since 2004 he serves as Research Professor attached to the Institute of Ecology at the University of Mar Campus Puerto Escondido, where he teaches the subjects of Soil Science, Probability and Statistics, Management and Conservation of forest soils, Rural Development Forestry in the areas of Engineering Forestry and Animal Science. Moreover imparts matter of management and agricultural water quality at Nova Universitas Ocotlan, Oaxaca.
He has written several scientific articles in international journals indexed, some of which deal with plant tolerance to salts. Others are related to the improvement of salt-affected soils by applying hydrochemical methods. Others deal with the conservation of degraded by erosion through agroforestry techniques. Currently studying on biosalinity and tolerance of black mangrove (Aviccenia germinans) to secondary salinization.
Recently conducted studies of the chemical quality of the waters of the river basin Copalita.
