Dr Eleanor Byrne is Senior Lecturer in English at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. Her work focuses on postcolonial studies, refugees and Globalisation, ecocriticism and plantation cultures. She was co-investigator on the British Academy funded Network, Troubling Globalisation: New Directions in the Arts and Humanities, 2017/18 and is working on an edited collection on Literature and Globalisation. Recent publications include, 'The Globalised Garden: Jamaica Kincaid's postcolonial gothic', WAGADU, SUNY, 2018, and Ecogothic in Hanya Yanagihara's The People in the Trees, Interventions: Internatinal Journal of Postcolonial Studies, 2018.
