Christina Quintiliani is currently a PhD student in Educational Studies (Cogntion & Learning) in the Faculty of Education at Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Christina is an Ontario Certified Teacher with instructional experience at the primary/junior level and is the recipient of the 2016 International Visual Literacy Association (IVLA) Student Research Award for her ongoing contributions to the field of visual literacy. Christina is an advocate for visual literacy practices in education and has presented her work and research at numerous recent international conferences including the 2016 Qualitative Analysis Conference: Visual Research Methods/Visual Ethnographies, the 2015 World Congress of Modern Languages: Languages without Borders, the 2014 Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences (CSSE annual conference), and the 2017 TESL Canada Conference.

Christina is currently a PhD student in Brock University's Faculty of Education. She also holds a M.Ed. (Teaching and Learning), B.Ed., and B.A. (Child and Youth Studies - with Distinction). Christina has taught in the elementary classroom and currently instructs undergraduates in the field of cognition and learning.
