Update #5 Zones of Regulation

Media embedded March 3, 2019

In talking about what students need as far as emotional supports, our social workers used to do this in with small groups of elementary students and I really felt that it was effective for students. It taught them how to identify their feelings and how to work through the zones. One important key point the social worker said is that sometimes it's ok to be just ok. You don't always have to feel excited all the time. It was a way to honor the young students feelings and also helped those manage extreme emotions. The visual was helpful.
