In 2014, Claudia was awarded a 5-year contract as a Fulbright Specialist where her projects have been associated with sustainable tourism development and social entrepreneurship. As a Fulbright, she has been collaborating with Brazilian universities on business school curriculum design and case study research in sustainable development and social entrepreneurship. Most recent her work as been in Siem Reap, Cambodia working with APSARA, the organization responsible for the management of the temples of Angkor which were built in the 12th and 13th centuries. For the last 16 consecutive years, she has led more than 600 Pace University business school students to Brazil for an annual international management field study. She is a regular guest speaker and research collaborator with colleagues at the NYU Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism Management. Her most recent publications include a chapter in Educating Social Entrepreneurs: A Workbook of Cases, Exercises, and Commentaries as part of the United Nations PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) Book Collection and an article in the Journal of Business Ethics Education. She has presented her research in Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Thailand, Hong Kong, Dubai and the United States.
