  Currently, a Faculty Development Specialist at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), Carrie Bailey has taught English composition and literature for 15 years, at Clark College, and University of Notre Dame, where her research focused on the modern novel, aesthetics, and philosophy. She has also has experience in legal and technical writing. A University of California Regents Scholar, she has served on multiple committees that support online education, edu-tech, and blended learning. Her current research interests include micro-learning, networked improvement communities (NICs), and student engagement.
